About the Artist:
"In my work, Illustrate the
incredible spirits within animals. I want people to stop and
think, "Look at this extraordinary spirit that just happens to be in the
body of a dog." With bold colors (usually not found in nature) I
try what artists such as Georgia O'Keefe tried - to have the observer
take a "closer look" at what is often considered the ordinary. I
want to convey what is beneath the outside parameters and inward to the
heart and soul. I paint the personality and simply ignore Mother
Nature."
"My work focuses on companion
animals, many of whom are from shelters and are awaiting adoption.
I
donate a portion of the profits from my sales to help support animal
adoption centers. the majority of my paintings are commissioned by
owners who wish to own a colorful reminder of their dog (or cat) that
they can cherish for a lifetime. After all, our companion animals
simply don't live long enough, no matter how long we
have them!"
